Great news! A user with Organization Admin permissions can now modify Proposal Emails. You can now edit the email body, add CC recipients, add a custom sign-off and add custom notes. We'll be happy to give you a more detailed walkthrough on these below.

How do I get started?

First, please keep in mind that only a user with Organization Admin permissions will be able to access this page.

To begin, go to Settings (the gear icon on the top right part of your screen).

Then, choose Proposal Phase on the left panel.

The Proposal Phase settings will be shown. Kindly look for the Emails tab.

Once you're on this page, you can click on the blue Edit button on the right side of your screen.

What Settings can I edit?

Allow Emails to be Fully Editable

The first setting you can edit is the option to allow emails to be fully editable. You can turn this toggle on or off.  If turned on, all proposal email details will be editable by any users with edit access on the proposal phase of a job.

Info
Note that, when you make a full editable email, all will be editable. This means you'll be allowed to add notes as well. Thus, the "Allow Custom Note" toggle below will automatically be toggled on, and greyed out.

CC Emails

Below it, you can add CC Emails by clicking on Add Email. Here, you can add multiple emails. Input one email for each field, and click on Add Email if you need to add more CC recipients.

Should you put in an invalid email by mistake, the platform won't allow you to save the changes you've made when you click on Save. An error message will appear and it would look like this:

Allow Custom Note

As mentioned above, if the Allow Emails to be Fully Editable toggle is turned on, then the Allow Custom Note will automatically be enabled, and you'll have no option to turn this off.

However, if the Allow Emails to be Fully Editable toggle is turned off, you can choose to allow users in your organization to add a Custom Note. This will be inserted below the body and above the signoff.

Signoff

Lastly for the signoff, you have two options: one would be the Tighten default, and the other would be None.

Should you choose Default, you'll have Sighten's default message as your signoff. This is:

"Got questions? Reach out to {sender} ({sender’s email}) at {organization name}."

And when you choose None, no signoff will be included. Here's where this can be edited:

How would it look like for users trying to send a proposal email on a job?

We think it's best to see how users will be able to see and use these on jobs. We compiled some screenshots to help show you what to expect.

Info
For all examples below, CC Emails only include one email: "testemail@gmail.com"

On the first example below, we used these settings:

  • Allow Email to be Fully Editable - False
  • Allow Custom Note - True
  • Signoff - Default

Below, we used these settings:

  • Allow Email to be Fully Editable - True
  • Allow Custom Note - Disabled (since Allow Email to be Fully Editable is set to True)
  • Signoff - None
