Your first time setting up your company's new proposal, you'll follow a few key setup steps.:
- Go to under Settings >> Proposal Settings (you must have Organization Administrator user permissions)
- Duplicate or copy the Sighten Proposal template. This will create an exact copy of the Sighten proposal template as a starting point and you can customize from here. Learn how here: How do I duplicate or copy a proposal template?
- Rename the proposal to something that your account can easily identify and use. Try switching in your company name for "Sighten". For example, if your company is SuperSolar you can name the template "SuperSolar Proposal" instead of "Sighten Proposal (copy)". Learn more about renaming here:
- Once you are viewing your template copy, toggle to Settings in the left menu. Confirm the logo and color selections are what you want.
- Review pages and adjust content as you go! Switch pages using the arrow on either side of the page to to forward or backward a page, or use the page list on the left menu to click on a page to view it. To edit a page, click Edit in the upper right.
- Click on the "Refer a Friend" page in the left menu. Input an email for someone at your company that should receive the contact information for any referrals added by customers.
- Modify the "Next Steps" to match the expected process for your company. Click Edit in the upper right and then delete the extra steps that aren't used. Note that currently you can't add back steps once they've been deleted, you'll need to re-copy the Sighten Proposal template to get the extra steps back.
From here, you can continue to change page content, add or remove pages, or re-order them. Learn about these options and more in our full FAQ about setting up the proposal.
