  1. Navigate to the SolarEdge Portal

  2. Login to the app

  1. Find the site by using the search function: 

    1. Monitoring Side ID 

      1. If the installer provided this, it can be found in Engine under M3 > Monitoring Specification

    2. Location (Address) 

      1. NOTE: SolarEdge sometimes organizes the address as Street Name then House Number, so search both ways. 

      2. Example: 

        1. Address: 1101 Emerald Lane 

        2. SolarEdge Search: Emerald Lane 1101 

  2. If your search was successful, you should see a result to the right of your search. Click on the Site Name to preview the homeowner’s monitoring portal.

Your top bar will have the following options based on your user access: 

  1. Dashboard: Offers a comprehensive view of site performance and health, visualizing production and consumption data, along with an overview of on-site equipment, open alerts, and general information. 

  2. Layout: Shows the physical layout of the installed equipment

  1. Power Flow Widget 

    1. Displays a snapshot of power production and consumption in the site. Power Flow will always be displayed, regardless of the type of meters installed on site. 

    2. Sites that are connected via Ethernet, WiFi or LTE (US only) will be able to see live Power Flow data updated every 3-5 seconds, subject to connectivity status. Other sites, and in cases where the site is not actively connected to the internet, the most recent inverter telemetry will be displayed. The Live badge will indicate if you’re seeing live data or not. 

    3. Hovering over the weather icon provides detailed information about the current and forecasted weather at the site.

  1. Power & Energy Charts

    1. The Site Power & Energy chart can be toggled to display either power or energy, in any resolution up to a week. In larger timeframes, only energy visualization is available.

    2. The Inverter Level Power & Energy chart displays a breakdown of power and energy per inverter. This will be affected by the Power and Energy toggle selection.

c. The Normalization toggle allows you to display inverter-level yield by dividing each inverter’s power or energy production by its individual DC Peak Power. You can configure each inverter’s Peak Power via the Admin → Performance tab.

  1. Alerts Widget

    1. The Alerts widget displays an overview of the open alerts in the site. If there are multiple alerts of the same type, you will see an indication of how many instances are open.

    2. Clicking on a specific alert will display more information about the alert in the Site Alerts page.

  1. Site Equipment

    1. The Equipment widget provides an overview of the inventory of the site, by types of equipment.

    2. By expanding each of the nodes in the tree, you can see the various device models and their corresponding serial numbers.

    3. You can hover over the information icon for any inverter to see its communication type and firmware versions.

Date Ranges: Select what dates you would like to analyze, by updating them here; if you are performing a bill analysis, make sure the dates match what is on the utility bill.

Energy Insights: These sections will look different based on the equipment installed at the home. Homes without batteries or consumption monitoring will only show production.

Power that was produced and sent or used by the home.

Power that was produced and sent and stored in the battery.

Excess power produced that was sent to the grid for the applicable NEM credits.

  1. Equipment Tree

    1. Choose “Show Tree” to open a dropdown list of equipment on the home.

    2. The list will show the inverter(s) (including serial number(s)), the string(s) of modules, and all modules on the individual string(s) (including serial numbers).

    3. Selecting an individual module will zoom in and highlight that module within the layout image.

  1. Playback

    1. Choose “Show Playback” to open a visual timeline of production. Adjust the time period to see a longer timeline.

    2. Click image-20241119-154822.png to start the visual playback of production.

    3. This is a great way to see if an individual module is having issues and not producing well.
