All accounts using the beta will have the new Sighten Proposal MyProposal template available to use by default. As part of onboarding, each account will To start using MyProposal, a user with Organization Administrator permissions can create at least one company proposal copy which is customizablecopy of the Sighten Proposal template to use and/or customize. |
There are two easy ways to copy or duplicate a proposal template. One, you can select the Duplicate option for a given template. Alternatively, click the + New Template option in the upper right. This will let you select a template to copy and modify for the new template.
Duplicate a proposal template
To duplicate a template, click on the option toolbar on the proposal template you want to copy, then select Duplicate.
Create a new proposal template
To create a new template, select + New Template.

This opens an option to choose which template you would like to copy. Select a proposal then click Copy.
What are good rules of thumb for when to duplicate a proposal template?
Duplicate proposal templates to protect live versions and archive proposals to keep the proposal list clean of old versions.
Any changes made to existing templates are live and will also impact proposals already sent out. This means you should always duplicate any template you want to modify as a starting point rather than editing it directly, unless the change is to fix a typo. Once desired changes have been made, you can archive the old template.
