For CSV Upload, the data format is critical for the functionality to work. Please review the instructions and example data provided on the page to ensure your data is formatted correctly. For the Beta release, Sighten only supports the common format provided by UtilityAPI. Here are the current instructions:
- The following column headers are required: interval_start, interval_end, and interval_kWh. Additional columns will be ignored.
- Ensure all information is complete. There should not be no rows or cells with missing within the data. OtherwiseIn the event of having any field that is left empty, Sighten will extrapolate the missing data.

How do I upload a CSV file?
- Open the job,
- Go to Usage,
- Scroll down to Annual Usage Section
- Select CSV Upload on the Edit Usage by dropdown menu, as shown above
- A quick guide will then show, it would look like this:
- Select Upload Usage CSV
- You'll then be prompted to upload a file. Once a file is selected, you'll see a spinning wheel on the Upload Usage CSV Button.
- Note that you can redownload the uploaded file anytime by clicking on the file name as highlighted below:
What happens if data is missing on the CSV file?
If any column is missing on the CSV file you're trying to upload, it will fail. You'll then see an error message like this:
Where else can I access the CSV document on Sighten?
Once uploaded, you can also see the CSV document on Site Documents, this is the Document icon on the right side of every job, as seen below:
- Extrapolated Data (Notification)
- If you delete a few rows (and not any of the columns), we will extrapolate the data and a notification confirming we extrapolated data - capture this in a screenshot
