Info

The defaults outlined in this article will go into effect on 3/29/2021.

Each state in Sighten EverBright has a default utility rate escalator that will automatically apply to any job quoted in the respective state. Sighten EverBright utilizes data from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) to determine the default by State.

2019

2023.

2023 kWh rates by state.

How is the Default Calculated?

After compiling all the data over the past 25 30 years, we calculated the % change year-over-year (YOY) by state. We looked at the Average YOY rate change over a 5 20-year period from 20152003-2020 2023 to come up with the state-by-state defaults listed below.

These defaults are set automatically on the Sighten platform, however, they are overridable by Organization Admins in the Usage Phase settings. For more information on how to change these defaults, please visit How do I change utility rate escalators?EverBright platform and cannot be overridden.
