To add a solar project, first select an input mode or make sure the right one is selected before proceeding.
The following input types are available for creating a project:
- kWh
RSD allows you to
input system capacity and production.Equipmentdraw the system and select equipment. This is the default selection and the best way to get great system images into your proposals.
Manual input allows you to enter azimuth, tilt, shading, and equipment selections - panel type, panel number,
inverter count, and select equipment types.RSD allows you to draw the system and select equipment.and inverter manufacturer/model.

With RSD input, draw the system outline, fill the array input forms, and select equipment. More on inputs and selection here:
Array input forms include azimuth (automatically selected from the drawing and can be overridden), tilt, and shading.
You can optionally include row spacing, # of rows, or an orientation preference.
Change alignment to have the panels fit to a grid or offset pattern.
You can add a new array using the + Array option.
You can
add an additional inverter to an array using the + Inverter option. You can also use the Inverter section to add an inverter.select a micro or central inverter, use the dropdown to view organizationally approved inverter manufacturers, and select the appropriate model
Note: if you wish to add multiple inverters to a project, they must be from the same manufacturer - the model, however, may vary.

Using the sidebar to the right of the input form, you can take additional actions for the open active array:
Move array by clicking and dragging.
Add panels where there is additional room.
Remove panels that are unneeded or placed over an obstruction. You can also adjust the array outline to reduce or increase the number of panels placed.
Setbacks can be added to maintain a set distance from the roof edges, either uniformly or editable for each edge.
Keepouts can be added to specify areas of the roof that have obstructions.
YouNo panels will be placed over drawn keepouts; you can also delete panels to accomplish the same task.
Image allows you to capture an image that will be used in the proposal. You can resize, zoom, or move the image capture window to get the desired result.
Once inputs are complete, click Calculate to get system production information and save array inputs.
