Setting up Promos

Promos could be are set up through in the organization's Setting page. Note that only Settings.  Only users with organization admin permissions can make these changescreate and update both promos and adders.

To start, head over create a new promo, go to Settings.Image Removed

Then Next, click on Project Phase on the left panellpanel. From here, select Adders, and then click on the green New Adder button.Image Removed

From here, a pop up window will be opened. It will look opens and looks like this:Image Removed

Choose Promotions for the Cost Category and fill out all other necessary fields. Here's an example:Image Removed

Note that only $ and % promotions are currently allowed, so the Unit field is locked.  On the Cost, please be reminded to always use a positive numbervalue; deduction from the total will automatically be applied.

Once all these fields are filled out, the Create button will be enabled (it is initially grayed outdisabled), and upon clicking, the Promotion is now saved. You can create an unlimited number of promos on the platform. 

You may also choose to display or hide this promotion on Proposals and Contracts, as shown above.

Adding Promos to a Quote in Cost Buildup

Now that the promotion is successfully added to Adders, we promotions are active adders in your account, you may now use this in quoting through the Cost Buildup modal. Here's how:

1. Head over

   Go to

   the

   an existing job.

2. On the Quote Phase, open the Cost Buildup drawer.

3. Click on the Add Promo button under Total

4. Add the promotion (note that you may add multiple promotions to one quote)

   Select a promotions using the dropdown

5. You may also click Add Promo to add additional promos.

Promos Display

Note that Once you create a quote via Cost Buildup and offer an adder, all adders and promos are displayed in the quote summary modal, and all other places where adders are displayed. Quote Summary modal.  They can also be added to the MyProposal by updating your templates.

AlsoIn the Quote Summary modal, these promos will always appear as negative numbers because they are deducted from the total (even though created as a positive number in settings). See below:Image Removed
