How to create an inbound welcome call ticket in JIRA

This SOP is a step by step guide on how to create a Jira ticket for an inbound welcome call.

 

Select “Create” from the top banner in JIRA

To fill out the ticket:

  • Project → EverBright Homeowner Support

  • Type → Welcome Call

  • Ticket Naming Convention (Summary): Inbound/Outbound Welcome Call - Org Name - Homeowner Name + Co-applicant name (If needed).

  • Description: Job Address

  • Assignee → yourself

  • Reporter → you can leave as yourself for now

  • Description → The welcome call for [homeowner name] with [installer company name] has been completed on [current date].

  • Label → Welcome Call

  • Support Channel → Email, Phone

No other fields need to be filled out in this pop up. Click ‘Create’.

Once the ticket has been created, click the link in the pop up that will appear in the lower left hand corner to go to the ticket.

Once in the ticket:

  • Change “Reporter” to the contractor’s email (found in the contract phase of the project on the platform).

  • Change the organization under the customer info tab to the installer company name

  • Select from the “canned responses” field - Welcome Call complete - to send the installer a note

  • Close the ticket as: done → other → Operations
