How do I change my default proposal templates?

EverBright automatically loads your account with all the proposal templates you need to cover all the different jobs you can create in EverBright!

We set each of these templates as defaults based on the job criteria:

  • Job Types: Residential or Commercial

  • Project Types: Solar, EE, and Storage

Every job you create in EverBright will fall into one of the categories covered by a default proposal in your account. This way, you’ll never get to the proposal phase on a job and not have an appropriate template to use!
This also means that if you want to change your default proposal templates, you need to explicitly set another template to be the default for the same job types. You can do this to any existing or new template with the same job type and the same proposal template project type.

Here are the steps to setting a new proposal as a default:

  1. First, you need to have a proposal template that you want to set as the default. Check out articles on setting up a custom template here: How do I duplicate or copy a MyProposal template?archived, How do I get started with my company's new customized MyProposal?archived, How do I edit an existing proposal template?archived

  2. Now that you’ve developed the perfect template to use on your jobs, you’re going to want to default it so that it’s the template that’s automatically in use for the job types it applies to. So select the kebab menu and click set as default.

  3. From there, you’ll get to determine what types of jobs it should be the default for. Remember, every job type needs to have a default template associated with it.

  4. As you make your selections, the default label will automatically appear on the template you’re setting up and will disappear on the template that was previously set as the default for that job type.
