Background: Upon initiation of an interconnection request, The utility will transmit the relevant agreement to EverBright. We will then proceed with verifying and obtaining signatures for the Agreement to facilitate the Interconnection process


Each Interaction will be handled via Email through DFO/Sales Force

This process will be handled only by Jessica noriega . and as her backup, it will be Nathan Dubbs

If the Workflow has been Cancelled: DO NOT PROCESS THIS INTERCONNECTION

  • Reject it and provide the reasoning note of “Customer’s Job Has been cancelled

System will open the DocuSign Communication File:

  • Scroll Down until you see the “View Documents” Link and click on it

This will pop up a new window redirecting you to DocuSign

Once in DocuSign:

  • Click on “I agree to use electronic records and signatures

  • Then click on “Continue

  • Review the Document and make sure it is coming from an Approved Utility:

  • Once you identified that it is an actual Interconnection Agreement with an approved utility; you will Scroll Down to the bottom until you see the “Customer” and “Owner” Box Section

  • We will gather the Homeowner’s information located in that section and then we will locate the customer within Sales Force by typing their Name

If the information is not coming up in Salesforce you can try by locating the Homeowner by Searching in Engine

Take note that sometimes utilities could send the documents under a different name than the one we have in the system

Are you able to locate the account in our system?

IF NOT

  • Go back to the Email and click on the 3 dots next to “View Details” and select “Outcome

  • Select the Disposition “Interconnection-Not Found

  • In “Notes” Add the Homeowner’s Full name as it appears in the Email.

  • Finally Click on “Save

IF YES

Make Sure that the HO’s Name and State listed in the Interconnection Email Matches the result found in Sales Force

  • Go back to the DocuSign Document and confirm if it has been signed or not.

It should ONLY show Gary Morris’ Signature effective January 23, 2025.

IF it has been Signed Already then:

  • Go back to the Email and click on the 3 dots next to “View Details” and select “Outcome”

  • Select the Disposition “Interconnection-Complete

  • Add in “Notes” (Completed and Signed Form)

  • Finally click on “Save

  • Once the Task is created in the system, you Must do the following:

    • Open the task

    • Click the “Assign to me button

    • Click “Finish

  • After that; you will be able to edit the following as needed:

    • Relates to

    • Additional Dispositions

Even if the task is created with the correct “Related to” and Assigned to you:

  • You MUST always follow these steps whenever a task is generated

IF it has NOT been Signed Already then:

  • Click on the Yellow Box that says “Sign

  • Then Click on “Adopt and Sign

    • After that: Click on “Continue

What to do if the Utility is NOT approved?:

  • Open the DocuSign and download a PDF of the agreement.

  • Primary Reason:

    • General HO Inquiry

  • Secondary Reason:

    • Interconnection

  • Case Description:

    • Include details about the utility not being approved and note that we require assistance from the compliance team to review the situation and confirm whether the utility will be approved for general interconnection before proceeding

  • CA Primary Reason:

    • Interconnection Agreements

  • Referral Comments:

    • “Legal Review: Interconnection Agreement - Utility Name / State – Installer(s)”

  • Description:

    • Include details about the utility not being approved and note that we require assistance from the compliance team to review the situation and confirm whether the utility will be approved for general interconnection before proceeding

    • Link to the Job

    • Any Background regarding the project or Utility

  • Once the Case Assignment has been created

    • go to the CA Chatter and click on the “Attachment” Icon to Include the PDF Copy of the Customer’s Contract

  • If the Utility gets approved:

  • The Subject of this Email should be “Approved Utility Request”

Then if the CA has been closed by Compliance; Close the Case and Stop


Disposition Options:

  • Interconnection - Not Found

Unable to locate the Homeowner’s Information or account in the system

  • Interconnection- Complete

Able to locate the Homeowner’s Information or account and Signature has been completed

  • Interconnection Declined

There is an error with the documentation in which we will not proceed with signatures (i.e. EverBright's Name has been spelled incorrectly). See the Validation Guide for Reference.

  • Other

Any other circumstance not listed

  • Closed Duplicate

The agreement attached has been previously resolved already for the same account

  • Requested New Link

If when opening the DocuSign document it says that the link has been expired you will need to receive a new link

(This one will be specially used after a weekend: Usually during weekends utility companies will continue sending Interconnection Emails and by the next business day the link will be most likely expired. Therefore a new link will be required)


Validation Guide:

If any of the following appear in your Interaction it has to be declined. We cannot Sign

Validation

Example

  • Make sure that EverBright's Name spelling is correct

  • Instead of “Everbright” it says “Eberbright

  • There is missing information

  • Instead of “EverBright LLC” it just says “EverBright” without the “LLC”

  • Wrong Information within the wrong category

  • Gary Morris Name is listed as the “Company Name” instead of “EverBright LLC” as the Company Name

  • Verify that the Job is an Active PPA

  • Everfixed

  • EverFlex

  • EverEasy

  • Sometimes the Job may be under the Co-Applicant’s Name

  • Even if the Interconnection Document shows a name “x” and our system shows a name “y” make sure you are checking the Everbright agreement so to confirm that the correct name “x” is under that same agreement

  • Reject Interconnection if Workflow has been cancelled

  • If the Workflow has been cancelled: DO NOT PROCESS THIS INTERCONNECTION

    • Reject it and provide the reasoning note of “Customer’s Job Has been cancelled


New Jersey Incentives Packet - (Administratively Determined Incentive (ADI) Program):

The NJ Incentive Packet related to the Administratively Determined Incentive (ADI) is not part of the interconnection process but needs to be signed. While separate from the technical connection to the grid, it's required to access the incentive benefits. Be sure to sign it as instructed

A reminder Email under the subject “NJCEP Incentives Packet” might come as well until the document is finally signed
