MyProposal

All accounts have the Sighten MyProposal template available to use by default. To start using MyProposal, a user with Organization Administrator permissions can create at least one copy of the Sighten Proposal template to use and/or customize.

How do I open an existing proposal template to review or make edits?

For existing templates, click anywhere on the template thumbnail or select Open Template from the template options menu to open the template for viewing and editing.

How do I review each page?

Use the arrow buttons on either side of the page to move between pages or use the page list on the left to click to a specific page.

How do I make edits to a page?

To edit a given page, click Edit in the upper right part of the page.

From here, you will see a new menu bar along the top of the screen. You can use this menu to edit and format text included on the page. You can also insert images, links, tables, and metrics. Metrics are dynamic values that updated based on each project. Metrics are outlined in purple to help show which values on the page are static (same for every proposal) vs dynamic data (different based on the specific project).

What keyboard shortcuts can I use?

You can use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL+C and CTRL+V to copy and paste text, images, or metrics. You can use CRTL+Z to undo a mistake or accidental deletion.

How do I insert an image?

The best way to insert an image is to first put the desired image into a Google Document. From the Google Document, copy and page the image and then re-size it to the size you like. This method using the Google Document is easier than including a link to the image.

Are there any pages that require special set up or editing tips?

The Quote Summary page, the Next Steps page, and the Referral Page all require special tips:

  • Quote Summary page: there are instructions under the chart on this page that explain how to view and edit what the page will look like for each type of financing. Use the arrow to switch between financing types. You can click Edit to make edits to the page for the selected type of financing. To switch to a different financing type, click Save or Cancel and then click to the financing type you would like to edit.
  • Next Steps page: for the initial setup of the proposal, revivew the next steps and modify them to fit your company. you will need to remove extra steps that are included as placeholders. You will not be able to add these back. If you need to add in a step that has been previously removed, you will need to start from a new copy of the Sighten Proposal template or another template that has the needed number of steps.
  • Referrals page: input an email for someone at your company that should receive the contact information for any referrals added by customers.

How and when should I re-name a page?

You can rename a page using the pencil icon to the left of the page name, or using the upper edit icon for whatever page is being viewed. The page name is the name that will also be shown to prospective customers viewing the proposal on their web browser.

How can I add, change, or remove a background image for a page?

You can use the image icon on the upper right portion of the page to select an image file to use as a background. Use the trash icon to delete a background image.

What are my options with the template pages?

In the left side menu, you can re-name, re-order, delete, or add pages.

  • Re-name: to rename a page, hover over the page and then click on the edit icon.
  • Change order: to change page order, click and drag the stack icon. This will let you move a given page up or down. Release when it is in the desired order.
  • Delete: to delete a page, use the "x" icon to remove it.
  • Add page: to add a new blank page, click + New Page in the side menu below the last current page.
