Installer Authoritative Copy Acknowledgement
Installer communications has gone went out regarding the Authoritative Copy. They received the following email:
Dear (installer name),
We have some important information to share regarding the Retail Installment Contracts (“Contracts”) you signed through DocuSign prior to October 12, 2023. After taking a closer look at the documents, we identified that they are missing the “DocuSign Authoritative Copy” confirmation.
Please know that the contracts are still legally binding and secure, even though they lack the Authoritative Copy confirmation. You don’t need to sign each contract again; we only need your acknowledgment that all Contracts you signed through DocuSign are the Authoritative Copies.
What is an Authoritative Copy?
An Authoritative Copy is the legally recognized, official version of a document, whether it’s in digital or physical form. It holds the same legal value as a paper document with a handwritten signature. It’s a guarantee that the document is genuine and tamper-free. The authoritative copy is important because it ensures legal validity, document integrity, and a secure record of signatories.
How to Acknowledge?
Please watch for an email from DocuSign asking you to electronically sign an Acknowledgment document. The Acknowledgment will be applicable for all Contracts you signed through DocuSign prior to October 12, 2023.
Your prompt acknowledgment of this matter is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your account manager.
Sincerely,
EverBright
