Sighten EverBright uses Project Sunroof data to automatically optimize tilts and azimuths on arrays to maximize solar generation. This makes designing a project even easierset tilt and azimuth for all arrays drawn within Sunroof coverage. Simply draw the array and values will be automatically populated!
How does it work?
Once you add an array, the optimal azimuth and tilt will automatically be set and locked when the toggles are turned on. The best side will also be chosen as you see on the screenshot below:
...
While in RSD mode, start drawing arrays with your normal workflow. Upon completing the outline, the roof plane below is analyzed to determine the azimuth and tilt. The side of the drawn array at the downslope of the roof plane is automatically selected as the azimuth.

The side, azimuth, and tilt fields will be locked out unless the toggles are turned off. on and re-calculate as needed when you move arrays. To enter manual values, simply turn off the toggles and enter your desired inputs. |
How about flat roofs?
We’ve noticed that flat roofs aren't always completely flat - they typically many, for example, have a small tilt for draining water. Sunroof picks this up. In this case, if tilt is < 5 degrees, automated tilt will default to 0 and azimuth us turned off and the user can input the values manuallythe automated azimuth is defaulted to the most southern facing edge.
