Sighten uses Project Sunroof data to automatically optimize tilts and azimuths on arrays to maximize solar generation. This makes designing a project even easier!
How does it work?
Once you add an array, the optimal azimuth and tilt will automatically be set and locked when the toggles are turned on. The best side will also be chosen as you see on the screenshot below:
The side, azimuth, and tilt fields will be locked out unless the toggles are turned off.
How about flat roofs?
We’ve noticed that flat roofs aren't always completely flat - they typically have a small tilt for draining water. Sunroof picks this up. In this case, if tilt is < 5 degrees, automated tilt and azimuth us turned off and the user can input the values manually.
