Sighten uses Project Sunroof data to automatically optimize tilts and azimuths on arrays to maximize solar generation This makes designing a project even easier!

How does it work?

Once you add an array, the optimal azimuth and tilt will automatically determined. The side of the drawn array at the downslope of the roof plane is automatically selected:

The side, azimuth, and tilt fields will be on and re-calculate as required while the toggles are on. To enter manual values, simply turn off the toggles and enter your desired inputs.

How about flat roofs?

We’ve noticed that flat roofs aren't always completely flat - for example, they typically have a small tilt for draining water.  Sunroof picks this up precision.  In this case, if tilt is < 5 degrees, automated tilt will default to 0 and the automated azimuth is defaulted to the most southern facing edge.
