What happens when you blacklist an incentive?

When blacklist an incentive, it will never show up in the Quote Phase for a job, appear in the incentive drawer, or apply to any future quotes.  You can blacklist incentives by incentive type or by selecting specific incentives.  Please follow instructions below to setup incentive blacklists.

How do I blacklist an incentive?

Read-only users will be able to see a list of incentives that are blacklisted for their organization, but they will not be able to make changes to this list. 

If you are an admin user for your company and you want to make it so that it a certain incentive will not show up on a quote for a job you can use the Incentive Blacklist tool in the Quote Phase settings. 

  1. First, navigate to Settings by clicking the gear icon on the top right 
  2. Then, select Quote Phase on the left menu bar
  3. Then navigate to the Incentive Blacklists tab and select the Blacklist Incentive button 

  4. Select the Incentive you'd like to blacklist, you can choose an entire Incentive Type (Depreciation, ITC, STC, Rebate, SREC, PBI, PTD, or Custom) or a Specific Incentive (this will auto-populate with all the all single incentives available to your org.
    For example, if you select Incentive Type - ITC all ITCs will be blacklisted; if you want to blacklist the 26% ITC, you would need to select the Specific Incentive - Residential Renewable Energy Tax Credit with the .26 value.


    Note: you can search for the Specific Incentive and the results will filter automatically based on your input

  5. Determine how you'd like to apply the blacklist either by Market, Financing Product, or Financier (highlighted below)  


    Note: you may only select one of the above methods to blacklist the incentive

    1. By Market:
      1. You can apply to all markets, with the All Markets toggle
      2. Or you can select States, Utility, or Zip Code
        1. For States and Utilities, you can search and the results will filter automatically based on your input. You may also make multiple selections to apply the blacklist to more than one state or utility.
        2. For Zip Codes, you must input and select Add one by one
      3. Note: if you're blacklisting by Market you may utilize one of the methods to define the market (State/Utility/Zip Code)
    2. By Financing Product:
      1. You can search and the results will filter automatically based on your input. You may also make multiple selections to apply the blacklist to more than one financing product.
    3. By Financier:
      1. You can search and the results will filter automatically based on your input. You may also make multiple selections to apply the blacklist to more than one financier.
  6. Hit Save to apply your Incentive Blacklist or hit Cancel if you do not wish to save this blacklist.
    1. You may add additional incentive blacklists to utilize additional blacklist criteria.

Please note that incentive blacklists are included in Data Sync. 

How do I edit or remove an incentive blacklist?

  1. If you have incentive blacklists in place, you can edit it by selecting the Edit link on the right. 
  2. Make any changes to the selected incentive you like as outlined above.
  3. Hit Save to apply your Incentive Blacklist or hit Cancel if you do not wish to save this blacklist.
  4. To remove the blacklist, select the remove (trashcan) icon on the right.
    1. Note: this automatically removes the incentive blacklist and cannot be reversed without manually adding the incentive blacklist back.
