The point of sale is a great place to gather referrals for your business. That’s why we’ve made it easy in our customized proposal tool to source leads from your best advocates - your customers!

If you’re using a Sighten default proposal template, the Refer a Friend page is added by default as the last page (except on the Two Page Proposal).

You can also add this modal to a proposal template you’re developing. Let’s say you want the referral form to be on the Next Steps page instead of on its own page.

  1. Navigate to the Next Steps page

  2. Click Edit

  3. Make sure your cursor is where you want the form to go

  4. Click Insert > Customer Actions > Refer a Friend > Select one of the 4 options

    1. the numbers correspond to the number of referrals you want to solicit from the customer.

  5. Let’s say you selected Refer a Friend x 4

  6. You then see the form appears with 4 input fields for referrals

  7. Click Save on the top right

Setting the referral recipients:

For non-locked proposal templates, you can choose who the referral contacts go to when a customer submits a referral through the proposal. For locked templates, the default recipient is the Job Owner.

  1. Navigate to the Templates tab of the Proposal Phase in Settings

  2. Select the three dots to the left of the proposal template you’d like to set the referral recipients for

  3. A Set Recipients For Proposal modal will open, it will be defaulted to the Job Owner

  4. To have the contact details sent to someone else, use Custom to manually enter an email address of the appropriate recipient in your company.

  5. Save all changes made to the recipients through the green Save button.
