Homeowners have the option to change their Great America payment due dates at any time during their contract (including prior to making their first payment). Below are the current requirements for changing payment due dates:
Due dates can be changed to any day within the same month.
If a customer wants to change their due date for an earlier date in the month, they will be responsible for making the current month’s payment as well as a full payment on the new date in the following month. Example:
A customer’s payment due date is September 25th and prior to the due date, the customer requests to change the due date to the 5th. This is allowed, however the customer will still be responsible for making the September 25th payment and will also have a full (non-prorated) payment due on the new date October 5th. Subsequent payments will be monthly on the 5th.
GA requires that the customer give 3 days' notice (before the original due date) to change the payment date
If the due date is changed prior to month 19, the interest will be accrued and collected at re-amortization. If changed after month 19, the last payment will be adjusted to account for the interest
Currently, there is no limit to the number of times that a customer can change their due date
non-ACH customers will be required to enroll in ACH payments prior to GA approving the due date
