Setting up Promos
Promos could be set up through the organization's Setting page. Note that only users with organization admin permissions can make these changes.
To start, head over to Settings.
Then click on Project Phase on the left panell. From here, select Adders, and then click on the green New Adder button.
From here, a pop up window will be opened. It will look like this:
Choose Promotions for the Cost Category and fill out all other necessary fields. Here's an example:
Note that only $ promotions are currently allowed, so the Unit field is locked. On the Cost, please be reminded to always use a positive number.
Once all these fields are filled out, the Create button will be enabled (it is initially grayed out), and the Promotion is now saved. You can create an unlimited number of promos on the platform.
You may also choose to display or hide this promotion on Proposals and Contracts, as shown above.
Adding Promos to a Quote in Cost Buildup
Now that the promotion is successfully added to Adders, we may now use this in quoting through the Cost Buildup modal. Here's how:
- Head over to the job.
- On the Quote Phase, open the Cost Buildup drawer.
- Click on the Add Promo button under Total
- Add the promotion (note that you may add multiple promotions to one quote).

Promos Display
Note that promos are displayed in the quote summary modal, and all other places where adders are displayed. They can also be added to the MyProposal.
Also, these promos will always appear as negative numbers because they are deducted from the total (even though created as a positive number in settings). See below:
