Pull Job

“Pulling” a job is the process of bringing an existing job into a testing environment so that you can manipulate aspects of the job without affecting the live job in Engine. The process does not always work, or work as well as you would like, but it is a good tool to use if you need to test a current job safely.

To start, you need to copy the UUID from the job’s URL:

Then, you need to log into a test environment (Staging, Mirror), but do not log into another organization. Click on Pull Jobs:

Paste the previously copied UUID into the text box, and click Pull.

If you are successful, you will be notified. This may happen quickly, or it could take few minutes. If successful, go to Log In As, and log into the organization that owns the job you just Pulled. You may then work on that job in the test environment.

If it doesn’t pull, you can try again to see if a second try yields success. Even after multiple tries, some jobs just don’t Pull.
