In-Proposal Design FAQs
Question | Answer | |
---|---|---|
What can people edit about the project in the proposal? | They can add, remove, move, and rotate panels. The equipment, available roof segments, obstructions, and setbacks cannot be edited in the proposal. To edit these, return to the Project phase or follow your organization’s processes for project design changes. | |
Can I grant editing access to specific team members? | The In-Proposal Design access is set at the organization level. You cannot currently give or block access at the individual level. | |
Will changes in the proposal override the design in the Project phase? | Yes, changes made through In-Proposal Design will update the project design in the Project phase. | |
Can I undo any changes after I select to update the proposal? | You can undo any changes while editing, but once you select to update the proposal, the changes will be saved. You can re-open the project in the proposal and update the project again, but you will not be able to use the ‘undo’ or ‘revert’ button to return to the original design. | |
Can people edit a project in the proposal after the contract is signed? | No, they cannot. Once a contract is signed for a quote in the proposal, the system design can no longer be edited in the proposal. The system design can be edited in the Project Phase after the contract has been signed. | |
Can I turn off Project phase editing access but still allow In-Proposal Design editing? | Yes! The permissions for In-Proposal Design editing work with the proposal phase access. You can limit Project phase access but still enable the limited editing available with In-Proposal Design. | |
Can I change the equipment? | No, you cannot change the equipment through In-Proposal Design Editing. | |
Can I add a battery? | No, you cannot add a battery through In-Proposal Design Editing. | |
Why are the panels turning red? | Panels cannot be placed over obstructions and setbacks, or outside the designated design area. If a panel is red, use the select tool to drag and move or delete it to continue with the design. | |
The changes I made to the design caused an invalid quote. How do I fix this? | You will need to return to the EverBright platform to create a new quote if the intended design no longer qualifies for the quotes on the proposal. |
