Background: The full launch of the in-proposal design will be available to all organizations on March 6th.

Some requirements have to be met for the rep/installer to be able to edit the project design in the proposal phase:

  1. The rep/installer has to be sure that an RSD input mode design has been created in the Everbright platform in the project phase.

    1. An RSD input mode design consists of an image of the roof and panels that have been added to the roof.

  2. A quote has been made using this RSD input mode design.

  3. A new Everbright proposal has been generated using the quote and RSD input mode design.

  4. The rep/installer must have permission to edit the proposal.

  5. The project is not associated with a signed contract.

    1. Once a project is associated with a signed contract, the rep/installer will not be able to edit the project in the proposal.

  6. The proposal template must have the System Overview widget.

The installer can only edit one project per proposal.

In-Proposal Design (editable view)

The installer has to use the Dynamic Proposal template. In the System Overview section, there is an ‘Edit Project’ button.

The edit view is pulled directly from the Project Phase.

It has been designed to work on cell phones and tablets.

Clicking ‘Select’ will allow the installer to change the panels by clicking on a panel, dragging and highlighting multiple panels, rotating panels, deleting panels, moving panels, etc.

If the panel(s) turn red, that is an invalid panel location. The panels cannot be placed:

  • Off the roof

  • Over keep outs.

  • Over setbacks

  • Outside of the design area

The installer cannot change equipment in the edit view of the Proposal Phase!

The installer can click ‘Add’ which allows them to choose a portrait or landscape panel layout.

 Reference Image

This will display a gray shadow panel and the installer can determine where they would like to place the panel.

 Reference Image
  • The installer can then click and drag shadow panels to add as many panels as they would like.

If the installer makes a mistake or wants to remove a shadow panel, they will click ‘Undo.’ This will remove the last change they made.

 Reference Image

Clicking ‘Revert’ will undo all the changes that were made and take the installer back to the very beginning where they would have to start over.

 Reference Image

The installer must verify that they would like to revert their changes.

 Reference Image

The installer also has the option of clicking ‘Cancel’ and all of their changes will not save.

 Reference Image

The details of the design will change as the installer makes adjustments to the panels.

 Reference Image

The installer as well as the homeowner will have access to education cards by clicking on the system information boxes.

The homeowner will have a non-edit view for educational purposes only.

 Reference Image

Project details are available by clicking the ‘Home’ (house) button in the bottom right corner.

 Reference Image

The zoom buttons (+,-) in the bottom right corner allow the installer to zoom in and out with ease.

 Reference Image

Once the homeowner and installer agree on a design, the installer will click ‘Update Proposal’ to save the design.

 Reference Image

The installer will need to confirm the changes.

 Reference Image

This will send the design back into the Project Phase and update the calculations.

Updating the proposal is equivalent to clicking the calculate button in the Project Phase. This will modify the original quote.

The offset will be updated.

The quote will be updated.

Any changes that are not available in the Proposal Phase will need to be done in the Project Phase.
