How do I edit a proposal template page?
MyProposal
All accounts have the EverBright MyProposal template available to use by default. To start using MyProposal, a user with Organization Administrator permissions can create at least one copy of the EverBright Proposal template to use and/or customize.
Editing allows you to make small tweaks or even create a totally new page. To start editing, it's wise to ensure that you're working on an existing template's duplicate. Once done, you can start to edit a template page by clicking Edit on the upper right part of the page's preview.
From here, you will see a new menu bar along the top of the screen. You can use this menu to edit and format text included on the page. You can also insert images, links, tables, and metrics. Metrics are dynamic data values that update based on each project. Metrics are outlined in purple to help show which values on the page are static (same for every proposal) vs dynamic data (different based on the specific project).
You can add and remove pages, depending on your preference. Here is an example of a new About Us page added at the end of a Proposal template:
How do I edit text?
To edit text shown on the page, first make sure you are have clicked into Edit mode for the page. Click or highlight text to change the text itself or its formatting (size, font, color, etc.). Note that depending on the formatting of the page and the text, you may need to try clicking multiple locations or using Enter/Return on your keyboard to help in laying out the text.
Text or numbers outlined in purple are placeholders for project-specific values, like the customer name, address, or system-related values. These are called metrics.
How do I add text?
To add text to a page, first make sure you have clicked into the Edit mode for the page. Click just in front of, or behind, an existing object where you would like to place your text. Note that depending on the formatting of the page and the text, you may need to try clicking multiple locations or using Enter/Return on your keyboard to help in laying out the text. With the cursor where you want it, you may begin to enter your text either directly from the keyboard or by using copy/paste (CTRL+C / CTRL+V).
What are metrics?
Metrics are dynamic values that updated based on each project. Metrics are outlined in purple to help show which values on the page are static (same for every proposal) vs dynamic data (different based on the specific project).
Be careful when you are clicking or editing the metrics inserted on a page. You can click on a metric to select it. You can copy and paste metrics to move them (CTRL+C and CTRL+V) or use the Insert menu to add a new metric to a page. Currently you can insert metrics for system, proposal, and site information.
What keyboard shortcuts can I use?
You can use the keyboard shortcuts CTRL+C and CTRL+V to copy and paste text, images, or metrics. You can use CRTL+Z to undo a mistake or accidental deletion.
How do I insert an image?
The best way to insert an image is to first put the desired image into a Google Document. From the Google Document, copy and paste the image using the keyboard shortcuts explained above into the page of your template you would like to add it to. You must be in the edit mode for this page to paste it in. Once the image is pasted in, you can resize it to the size you like. This method using the Google Document is easier than including a link to the image.
Alternatively, you can use the menu for Insert then select Image. From here, paste in an image URL. This can be a link to the image in Google Drive or another cloud-based storage provider. The URL will often end in .jpg or .png. Note that this is not as simple as simply copying and pasting the image from a Google Document as suggested above.
Are there any pages that require special set up or editing tips?

Referrals page: input an email for someone at your company that should receive the contact information for any referrals added by customers.
How and when should I rename a page?
You can rename a page using the pencil icon to the left of the page name, or using the upper edit icon for whatever page is being viewed. The page name is the name that will also be shown to prospective customers viewing the proposal on their web browser.
The page name is displayed in the left side menu (the homeowner sees the same list):
The page title can also be edited:

How will the PDF download look?
You can download the PDF from the template view to see how it will look. Note that pages with a lot of content may go onto 2 PDF pages even though they appear on a single page of the MyProposal web view. For example, the Cash Flows page goes onto two pages for each quote.
