How to Reboot a Virtual Desktop
Overview
There might be many reasons to reboot a VDI or an Amazon Workspace, from performance to graphic issues impeding the end user to successfully work from their virtual machine. As part of the self-service initiative, we recommend the users to reboot their VDIs as a preliminary step to troubleshoot simple daily issues. Following the reboot process might resolve the issue at hand faster and will also enable the helpdesk to better assist the user in case that a support ticket is submitted.
Reasons to perform a reboot
Below are the 5 tops reasons why an end user would need to perform a reboot.
Slowness or RAM Problems
Application Errors or Memory Leaks
Internet Connectivity
Performance Issues
Updates

The Dynamic VDIs are destroyed and regenerated once the customer logs off completely from the VDI which would be the correct step as an alternative to a reset or reboot.
