What does the UTL-014 error message mean?

For select rates in EverBright, our utility provider, Genability, is unable to support calculating a utility bill and usage using exclusively monthly or annual bill inputs.  This results in the following error message: 

UTL-014 - Cannot calculate usage from bill input for import/export rates.

This utility rate is an import/export tariff.  We do not currently support bill entry for these rates. Please enter usage or consider using another rate.

To remedy this issue: you can keep the same rate and use either of these two workarounds:

  1. Our full entry input mode, where you enter in both the usage and the bill cost, or

  2. Our monthly and annual usage entry modes, where you enter usage values only.
