How can I send notifications directly to homeowners?

Great news! You can send notifications directly to homeowners via email or text messages in EverBright. In this article, you will learn where to find this new feature and how it works. This feature is included with our Pro and Premium level subscriptions, and can be added for a small fee to Basic accounts. Where can I find the Homeowner Notification Settings in EverBright?

You’ll find this if you go to Settings (the gear icon on the top-right section of your screen), then choose Operations Phase on the left panel.

Note: Only users with an Organization Admin status will be able to see and edit Homeowner Notification Settings. If you don’t see this feature, please make sure that it’s activated, and that you’re logged in on the right account. How does it work?

To get started, you can click on the green Add Notification button on the right side of the screen.

A pop-up window will then appear.

You can now choose a specific task that you want to set up a notification for:

Assuming we chose HOA Verification, you’ll then have to option to view all products with workflows that use this task. It would like this:

After selecting the task and checking all products that have this task on its workflow, you can now choose the task updates that you’d like to notify the homeowner on. You can select All Statuses, and a homeowner will automatically be notified once the selected task is already in progress, ready, pending approval, rejected, or approved. Or you can just pick a couple of statuses that you find significant for the homeowner.

The last option you’ll need to specify is if you’d like the homeowner to be notified through email or text.

If you choose e-mail, a preview of the email will be shown, like this:

Similarly, a preview will be shown if you choose to only send a text (note that if you choose both, only one preview can be seen):

Examples

With the examples shown above, if we choose the following:

  • Task: HOA Verification

  • Task Status: Approved, and

  • Assuming that the specified task is used on these products' workflows: for Demo 3.99% Single Loan, Demo Lease, Demo PPA, PACE by RENEW Financing

Then, a sample text message will be:

Great news from EverBright Solar, Storage, EE Demo, you are one step closer to completing your project installation! HOA Verification is updated to Approved!

A sample e-mail would be:

Hi Homeowner First and Last Name,

Great news, you are one step closer to completing your project installation! HOA Verification has been updated to status Approved.
