What happens when a contract is cancelled?
If you or EverBright need to cancel a homeowner's contract, the cancellation request will follow this process:
Select Cancellation Reason
After clicking the “Cancel Workflow” button, you will see a drop-down to select the reason for the cancellation. This will enable EverBright to better understand why cancellations are happening and help reduce cancellations.
Cancellation Waiting Period
- After the “Cancel Workflow” button is clicked and the cancellation reason is selected, the workflow will go into a "Cancel Pending" status for 72 hours. During this waiting period, the workflow can be restored. After 72 hours, the workflow can no longer be restored and a re-sign will be required to reinstate the job.
Cancellation Notice to Homeowner
After the 72-hour waiting period is over, the job will be marked "Fully Cancelled" and a cancellation notice email will be automatically sent to the homeowner.
Automatic Job Cancellations
Please note that EverBright will automatically cancel jobs under the following circumstances:
- Jobs still in M1 status after 90 days
- Jobs where conditional credit or title approval is declined
