Pulling Organization Data using Power BI

Background: Support agents sometimes receive requests from Org Admin to obtain data, such as a list of active users for their downstream channel partners. This can be done using Power BI.

The request can only come from users with org admin permissions. If the request is coming from sales reps, please refer them to their org admin.

  • Confirm that the request is from an Org Admin

If YES proceed to Step 2

  • The support agent needs to create a case and assign it to the Lead Specialist to process the request

  • The Lead Specialist needs to access Power BI

  • Export the Report

Finalize the view, and export the data using the more option field. Select Export Data > Data with current layout

  • Remove Filters: If any filters were applied during the export, they may show up at the bottom of the exported file. Delete any unnecessary filter information before sharing the file with others, as filters used internally are typically not relevant to the customer.
