Slack Access
From the browser application:
Inviting Users
In the column on the left, navigate to the top and click the carrot next to the “EverBright” title.
Click this to find the “People & user groups” section. Click this.
Click “Invite people” in the upper right corner.
Type out the email of the individual you want to invite and hit enter. You can add multiple people if needed.
Click “Send”
Deleting Users
In the column on the left, navigate to the top and click the carrot next to the “EverBright” title.
Select “Settings & administration”
Select “Manage Members”.
Enter the user’s name in the search field.
Click the three-dot menu at the end of the user’s row.
Select “Deactivate Account”.
Editing User’s Info
If a user wants to change their email (i.e. nexteraenergy -> goeverbright), we will have to change it for them.
Follow steps 1-4 from the Delete Users section above to find the user.
Click the three-dot menu at the end of the user’s row.
Select “Edit Info”.
Change the info needed.
Select “Save”.
Setting up Support users (after they’ve been invited in the process above)
Support users need to be invited to the channels listed in the “slack channels” tab at the bottom in the onboarding excel sheet.
Do not invite contractors to the “ft” channel – this is just for fulltime NEE employees.
