Multiple Usage Profiles

Multiple Usage Profiles

Objective: To create a way to enable users to create and compare multiple different usage scenarios within a single job site.

Beginning March 13th, installers can set up multiple usage profiles for a single site. This will allow them to easily create quotes for the same job using different usage inputs such as utility rate or EV ownership.

Suppose more than one usage profile is created, for example, with or without an electric vehicle. In that case, they can compare the same design with different usage scenarios by simply copying their project and applying a different usage profile.

  • With Multiple Usage Profiles turned ON, a Multiple Usage Profile option will appear at the top of the Usage Phase.

    • A usage profile is the whole usage phase, so if a new one is made, they can change anything on the whole phase screen for that specific usage profile.

  • Selecting ‘Manage Usage Profile’ will expose the name of the usage profile they are currently viewing.

    • There is also a kebob menu to edit the name, archive the profile or duplicate an existing profile.

  • From the dropdown, you can also select to add a new usage profile

  • At least one usage profile needs to be associated with all projects. If a usage profile is associated to one or more projects and is selected to be archived, then you must choose another usage profile to replace it on the associated projects.

  • If more than one usage profile has been created, the user can select which usage profile to apply to a project. If they have not created more than one profile, the Typical Usage Profile will be applied (the default profile) and they will not have the option to change the profile.

  • The ability to select different usage profiles has also been added to the Download Profiles support feature. The Download Profiles feature is for Internal Use Only

    • The feature is accessible via the ‘I’ menu and down in the support section.

  • In the download profiles menu, you can choose a usage profile if only downloading usage information. When you choose a Project, then the Usage option will update to the usage profile associated with the selected project.
